Ruby Red F 250 Super Duty – Riding the Rocks in Style

Say hello to this redhead. It’s a Platinum trim so you know Ford has crammed the cabin with every luxury and convenience item they have for trucks. But you also know, as an off-road enthusiast, that the most comfortable seat in the world is completely wasted if the off-road ride is an exercise in dental jarring and spine compression every time you leave the pavement. 

Ruby Red F 250 Super Duty

You need power and torque to dominate the trail. Ruby Red delivers that. This bad boy has a 6.7 L Power Stroke diesel mated to a 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission that comes stock with the four-wheel drive package. But if you’re driving a Platinum trim, you’re the kind of off-roader who also enjoys creature comforts including a trail ride that doesn’t require an after adventure trip to a chiropractor.  

That’s where we come in.

We’ve designed a suspension that lets you take on the dirt, mud, rocks, and crash through the brush in relative comfort. We don’t recommend you drive one handed holding a hot beverage in the other, but you most certainly will not be beat up after your outdoor excursion.

A Ride With a View

 We gave Ruby Red what you might call a Tall Texan ride. You get a great view and a smooth ride. We did that by installing an adjustable 10” to 12” air suspension lift from Kelderman (the master of these systems) and an Air Lift electronic air control system. Toss in Fox 2.0 remote reservoir shocks and dual steering stabilizers and you are driving on a platform that delivers an absolutely awesome ride.

And then there are the wheels. You think a 10” – 12” lift is impressive? Well it had to be that much to accommodate the RBP 26” forged wheels with custom matching paint wrapped in, wait for it, 42” Fury Country Hunter M/T tires. Riding on tires that are nearly 4 feet high truly qualifies as Tall Texan. Oh, and if anyone gets in your way, you got air horns to let them know you’re coming through.

Inside the cabin, Ford takes over with a list of features you would expect to find in an upscale luxury sedan. For example the Platinum Ultimate Package includes a twin panel Power Moonroof, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, and Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System. The interior is of course, all leather and includes Voice-Activated Navigation System, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-traffic Alert & Trailer Tow, SYNQ® 3, and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-traffic Alert & Trailer Tow. And the list goes on.
